Written on the Shabbat. Let Us Open Our Bibles To First Peter Chapter 2:
Wives are to subject themselves to husbands. That even if the husband is an unbeliever, by the wives’ dedication and fear towards GOD, the unbelieving husband may see, admire, and be won over unto YAHUSHUA.
Verse 3 makes us understand that the beauty of a Godly woman is not her beautiful apparel, not her intricate hair style, not her jewelry, nor the make up she puts on. The beauty of a Godly woman is her Humble, Holy, and Faithful Spirit.
The Apostle Peter gives us Sarah, Abraham’s wife as an example, who called Abraham, her husband, lord. By showing submission unto a man of GOD, she was submitting to GOD himself. 1 Peter Chapter 2, we are instructed to Honor all men, love the brotherhood, Fear GOD, and Honor the king. How much more are we to honor Godly men, or Godly husbands, or submit ourselves to Godly kings? Yet it goes even deeper as The Apostle Paul entails in Ephesians Chapter 5: 21-33.
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Just as YAHUSHUA died for His Church, so must the man be willing to do all to protect his wife, for they are one. Scripture teaches us that “For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,” Hebrews 2:11. Believers are one with YAHUSHUA, they make up his body, their Love first goes to YAHUVEH Elohim, and their fellow believers second.
1 – Is it any wonder that the most important commandments is to Love YAHUVEH our Elohim with all our heart, soul, and mind. And the second, to Love our neighbor as ourselves. Matthew 22:37-39.
Verse 8 instructs us to be of one mind, being compassionate towards one another, loving one another, being courteous, and sympathetic. Understanding is key in allowing love and all the other characteristic mentioned work.
Without understanding no two individuals can work towards one cause. The men who built the tower of Babel did not love each other to build, they simply had one mind, an understanding to build a tower. They did not love each other, if they did, they would not have scattered when understanding was lost. Genesis 11:9.
Love is the glue that keep the body of YAHUSHUA together. Yet it is understanding that allows the body to function and operate as one. Having one mind, being on the same page is what harbors love.
It is by love that a believer may offend you, yet you still bless that individual.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Peter 3:10-13.
YAHUSHUA said, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5:10-12.
Just as YAHUSHUA who knew no sin, suffered for our sin, we are to count it a blessing when we suffer for standing for Holiness. It is better for suffering for well doing than evildoing. 1 Peter 3:17. In all things, we are to Praise YAHUSHUA and to be ready to speak of the Hope we have in Christ YAHUSHUA. Our behavior should be pure, blameless before GOD and man, that the enemy, and those who persecute us may be ashamed at finding no fault.
2 – At this time in History, we are under the long-suffering of GOD. Just as GOD told Noah to build an ark because of the coming days, so has YAHUVEH issued A Call to Repentance. Just as the rain was held back because Noah was building the Ark, so Is YAHUVEH’s judgement being held back because His Elect. YAHUSHUA will come and get his Bride, and Judgement will fall. Now is the time to get in the Ark of GOD’s protection, find him now – today is the day of Salvation, tomorrow may be too late.
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 3:20-21.
Baptisms is giving an answer to The gift that YAHUSHUA gave at Calvary, that GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have Everlasting life. Baptism is saying YES to this gift, the acceptance of this gift. Baptism represents answering The Call to Repent, and devoting yourself to Follow YAHUSHUA. May YAHUVEH Bless You All.

I’ll use this opportunity to clear a few things up. YAHUSHUA is the original Hebrew name of our Lord Jesus. Jesus is the Greek translation the name.
The name YAHUVEH is the Hebrew of Jehovah. Notice how both Jesus and Jehovah begin with J, yet in Hebrew they begin with Y. Let’s look at our local language, Twi. Every name that begins with J in the English Bibles is pronounced with Y in the Twi.
Jesus, for example is pronounced Yesu in Twi, the same is true for all other names that begin with J in Twi. Jeremiah/Yeremia, Joel/Yoel/, John/Yohane.

This scripture leaves us with much analysis. Especially in today’s world where there is an increasing influence of women empowerment. Very less women submit to their spouses basically because they are both either of the same status and have the same privileges or the woman is of a higher status than the spouse.
Agreed, there cannot be a power struggle in a home. Man & woman can live in unity and peace – as GOD intended when they play the roles that GOD has put before them. Yet in all things YAHUSHUA/Jesus must be First, even in the couple’s relationship.

I really love and understood the first passage on the topic of husbands and wives. Now in our society young ladies, such as myself, who are growing up to become a woman and a wife to a man, has forgotten the principles of carrying that title. They believe the outward appearance is more valuable than their inner self. Forgetting on how Christ or in other words YAHUSHUA grants us what is best for us and our heart desires. We just have to be willing to give him our all and love our selfs in any situation.
Amen. The flesh only looks good for so long – and then the wrinkles and grays start setting in :). Many people look solely at appearance when committing to relationships – these hardly ever last. Believers see a man or woman and are drawn to them not because of the Flesh, but because of the Spirit and characteristics of GOD that lives in them. Thanks for the comment Sis.

YAHUSHUA left His Father and Mother to be enjoined with His Church. It’s a great mystery indeed. Jacob worked 7 and 7 years for his wife (7 and 7, 14 total). Great mystery.
