Jude 1 – Beware of Ungodliness. The error of Cain, Balaam, and Korah.

Written on the Shabbat.

The General Epistle of “Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James (Luke 6:16).” This letter is written to “them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ…”  to remind us of our Salvation, to exhort, and to rekindle our zeal for the Faith.

The Apostle Jude writes that the Church may be alert of “4…certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Ungodly individuals who have entered the church and twist scriptures, turning the Grace of YAHUVEH into lasciviousness.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,…Galatians 5:17-19

Lasciviousness: Lustful, indecent, fleshly desires. Being given over to sexual desire and acting on them.

When we look at Galatians 5:17-19, the works of the flesh – adultery, fornication, uncleanness give us a clearer definition of what lasciviousness is.

The Apostle Jude writes and states that ungodly men are turning the grace of our Lord YAHUSHUA into lasciviousness. He is rebuking and exposing the false teaching that exists even in modern day churches. ‘license to sin’, those who make excuses for their sin – “I believe in Jesus,” they say “It’s not about what I’ve done or do, it’s about what HE has done on the cross”. Yet the Word of GOD commands us to be Holy, even as ABBA YAHUVEH is Holy. YAHUSHUA said that we will know them by their fruit – no evil tree brings forth good fruit, and likewise no Good tree bears evil fruit.

2 John 9:10 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”

There have come false teachers, evangelist, pastors, prophets who turn our Freedom in YAHUSHUA into an excuse to sin. They deny and seek to turn us away from Abba YAHUVEH, YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH, and Imma SHKHINYAH GLORY.

Yes, we are saved by the Blood of YAHUSHUA. It is because of what He has done for us at Calvary that we have passed from death into life. Yet we also remember the Words of our Lord: “…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” John 8:31-34.

YAHUSHUA saves us from sin. Yet this does not mean that we as believers never sin – what it means is that sin has no power over us. We are no longer slaves to sin, but servants and even sons and daughters of Holiness. If we fall in sin we do NOT remain in sin – we repent, ask for forgiveness and continue in our Lord YAHUSHUA.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Israel is God’s chosen people, yet when the people of God rebelled and sinned, and continued not in the law of YAHUVEH they were destroyed. We modern day believers are saved, but we are to “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12. We ought to never be smug, or so relaxed in our salvation that we begin sinning again. We are to know that no sinner will inherit the Kingdom of God, but forgiven sinners may.

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Romans 11:20-22.

Or “6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” We may start out in Holiness, but if we do not continue in Holiness, as these fallen angels then the Judgement of YAH is our portion.

“7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” The people of Sodom and Gomorrah exhibited the works of the flesh (adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness), as we spoke of earlier in Galatians 5:17-19; and we know their end – vengeance of eternal fire.

“8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.” – these certain ungodly men who turn the grace of our Lord YAHUSHUA into lasciviousness and Deny the only Lord God, and our Savior YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH speak evil of Heavenly things.

9 Yet Michael the Archangel when contending with the devil over the body of Moses did not “bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” But these evil men who have crept into churches speak evil of Abba YAHUVEH, His works, and anything they do not understand.

Woe unto them! They are gone in the way of Cain, are as Balaam who went to prophesy for reward, and as one of them that rebelled against Moses and Aaron with Korah (Number 16).
Cain murdered him brother Abel because of jealousy which turned into hate. GOD was displeased with Balaam because he set out to prophecy for reward, greed. Korah and his company were consumed because they undermined and revolted against the leadership YAHUVEH set up, pride. Likewise these ungodly men are motivated by jealously, greed, and pride.

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

As Enoch prophesied “14…Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

YAHUSHUA is coming to execute judgement on “murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.” It’s amazing how this parallels the disobedient children of Israel, who murmured, complained, walked after lust, and spoke evil of GOD (Exodus 32).

“But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”

And these are the time we are in. I was watching testimony of the reality of hell today, in the comment section one commentator replied something like this “I’ve watched the whole video and still curse God”. At that point I stopped reading there. These are without the spirit, as brute beasts, those who know nothing yet speak against Father YAHUVEH and His dominion.

But we, we are to build our most holy faith through praying in the RUACH ha KODESH (Holy Spirit). Keeping ourselves in the love of God (by keeping His commandments), and looking for the mercy of our Lord YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH unto eternal life. And unto others, we are to save with dire urgency, pulling them out of fire, being careful that their sin does not touch us.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
