Hebrews 10: No Longer A debtor To Sin, But To Righteousness

Burnt offerings and animals sacrifices were a shadow of the Lamb that GOD would provide in His own time.

Hebrews chapter 10 makes us understand that the yearly sin offerings made it impossible for the one offering to have a clear conscious. After all, if they were without sin, then why would they need to sacrifice daily, monthly, yearly? As verse 4 states, “..it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. Hebrews 10:3

The Hebrew people, due to continual sacrifices where positioned to better understand the Gift and significance of Calvary. The lambs and goats where not willing to die for the sins of others, I’m sure. But Almighty God YAHUVEH willingly sent his only begotten Son, and YAHUSHUA Messiah willingly died a sinner’s death for the redemption of a sinful world.

YAHUSHUA died for the sins of this World. His sacrifice was perfect, for those who receive, and allow him to wash their sins away, they have been sanctified and are perfect, and are being perfected before YAHUVEH GOD, through Christ YAHUSHUA. We are dead to sin, and alive in YAHUVEH, holiness, righteousness, and glory. For this cause we are no longer debtors to sin, and need not to continually offer for our transgressions.

The wages of sin is death, as such GOD prepared a body for His Son that he may die in our place. Our debts to sin, past, present, and future are paid in Full. “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 10:17/Jeremiah 31:34.

Not meaning that we are to willfully sin, or that we now have a license to sin. “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” Hebrews 10:26.

When not our intention to sin, or when we truly repent of sins we then have the blood of YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH as an atonement.

Fulfilling debt to sin leads to death, fulfillment of righteousness leads to Life everlasting through YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH (Not just good deeds, but good deeds through YAHUSHUA Jesus). This is why it is expected of us to forgive those who trespass against us, to turn the other cheek, to love our enemies “and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven” Matthew 5:38-48.

If we forgive the sins of others, then our Heavenly Father YAHUVEH will forgive our sins, and as scriptures state; “Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” Psalm 32:2.

This is the fufillment of righteousness which leads to everlasting life through YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH. As children of GOD, we owe nothing to sin (the blood of YAHUSHUA paid our debts in full), but live to fulfill Righteousness. You are a servant of Christ. Be conformed into his image, into the image of Righteousness.
