First John 1 – Fellowship with The Father and Son In Light
That which was from the beginning, (The Word John 1:1) which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
The Lord YAHUSHUA is the Word of God made flesh, who was with the Father and was manifest in the flesh and dwelth amongs us (John 1:14).
The Apostle John, the one used to write The Book of John, and the Book of Revelation testifies of what he has seen and heard. To know the Son is to know the Father and Mother (Holy Spirit). To have fellowship with the Father is only done through His Word (we only draw nigh to God through His Word). The Apostle writes that truly their fellowship is not only with the other Apostles, but with the “Father, and his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Abba YAHUVEH only Fathers those who abide in His Light. We cannot say that we walk with Him when we walk in darkness/sin.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
Whatsoever doth make manifest is light (Ephesians 5:13), Therefore is YAHUSHUA called the light of the World, for He shows us right from wrong – He shows us the will of Abba YAHUVEH, He makes the blind to see!
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
In the light of YAH we realize and understand that we are truly sinners. In the darkness the stains of sin on our clothing are not very noticeable, yet in the light of God every sin is exposed. When we come in the light, Father YAHUVEH washes us with the blood of His Son YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH that we may draw nigh and have an intimate relationship with Him.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
For His Word states that all:”…have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23. Therefore, if…
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
