Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

The Faith and testimony of YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH is precious, far more precious than gold. 1 Peter 1:7.
To them who have obtained the righteousness of God, again referring to YAHUSHUA, for YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH is the righteousness of God.

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. Isaiah 59:16-18.

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40.

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. Isaiah 51:4-5.

For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
10Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? Isaiah 51:8-10.

YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH is the Salvation, Righteousness, and the Right Arm of YAHUVEH God. As the Apostle wrote: “to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ“

Our Faith in and through YAHUVEH’s only Begotten Son, the Word made Flesh, YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH makes us righteousness. For Abraham “believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Genesis 15:6.

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Grace and peace is multiplied unto us through the knowledge of YAHUVEH’s Word, who is YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH (The Word made Flesh). The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6. If God’s people perish for the lack of knowledge, then by the abundance of Godly knowledge, grace, peace, strength and life more abundantly abounds.

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

YAH has given us all things pertaining Life and Godliness. HE did not withhold His most precious possession, His One and only Son. Nor did He withhold His Sweet RUACH ha KODESH (Holy Spirit) but poured His Holy Spirit on His people. Joel 2:28. The promises that YAH has made to us are amazing. Life everlasting with Him, untold Glory, Honor, and a place in His Glorious Kingdom.

“…given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…” Life and Godliness is only through the Knowledge of YAHUVEH and YAHUSHUA. Know YAHUSHUA know Life.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3.

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

All of Abba YAHUVEH’s promises are made and fulfilled through HIS only begotten Son YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH. YAHUSHUA is the Complete fulfillment of YAHUVEH’s will.

“…partakers of the divine nature…“

We can only partake of YAHUVEH’s divine nature through Holy Communion with YAHUSHUA, His Son, our Lord GOD Almighty. We only become part of the Body of YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH through Holy Communion, for He hath said: “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. John 6:56.” we become partakers of the divine nature through the Blood and Body of our Lord YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH. His Word and Spirit abides in us and His Blood sanctifies us from all unrighteousness. We thereby become partakers of His divine nature, for we no longer live for ourselves, but by Him. John 6:57.

Through YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH, who is the Fulfillment of YAHUVEH’s promises freed from the sins of this world and live after the Righteousness and Holiness of YAHUVEH our GOD.

“…having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust…”

If we abide in Him, and let Him abide in us, follow Him and seek to please Him then we are passed from death into life.

The lust of the world are the temptations of this world, all of which are corrupt and lead to death. For the world and everything therein is corrupt and stands only temporary. It is the Son that frees us from the lust of this World, it is the Son that transforms our desires to Holiness and conforms us into His glorious image.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:16-21.

It is the Word of GOD that stands from everlasting to everlasting. If we follow the Spirit of GOD then are we lead into everlasting life.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

This is our connection to the Vine.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5.

If we keep these things, then we remain in Him, and He and us, and if so then will we bring forth much fruit for YAHUSHUA and abound in His knowledge.

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

The Apostle Peter continues and explains that if these things are found in us, then there will be nothing restricting us from receiving knowledge and revelation from God. Anyone that lacks these things, is “blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.” Indeed YAHUSHUA has forgiven our sins, we are to look unto that and forgive others who sin against us. If we forgive those who sin against us, then we are making sure the call that God has placed on our lives. If we do all these things, says the Apostle Peter, “Ye shall never fall”. The Kingdom of heaven will open and Welcome us with open arms.

Peter goes on to reemphasize verse 5-7, and forgiveness. That he will not remain in his earthly tabernacle for long, and as such he strives to encourage the Church. That indeed they are not following or teaching fables, but that He himself is an eye witnesses to YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH.

Vs 7. YAHUSHUA received honor and glory from YAHUVEH God, even when YAHUVEH Himself witnessed from Heaven regarding YAHUSHUA:

“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Not only so, but scriptures goes on to bear witness of YAHUSHUA the Son of God.

2 Peter 1 concludes by stating that prophecies do not come about by the will of man, but rather through men who spoke as moved by the RUACH ha KODESH. The Apostle is emphasizing the Scriptures, the Chapters and Books that bear witness of YAHUSHUA were not written by the will of man, But the RUACH ha KODESH wrotes these scriptures through man.
