1 Peter 4 – Count It A Blessing When Persecuted for YAHUSHUA’s Name Sake

Just as YAHUSHUA was despised, suffered, and rejected on his time on earth, believers must understand that the world will treat us likewise. The servant is not above His master. Sufferings on this earth will be like a tiny vapor compared to the riches YAHUVEH has prepared for those who love him.

He who suffers for righteousness sake does not care to sin, for he has fought, and overcome the sinful nature of the flesh. If he had not overcome the flesh he would not suffer persecution from those who live in the flesh. For this reason the Apostle Peter writes: “for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;” 1 Peter 4:1. Such an individual no longer lives to satisfy the flesh, but lives to please YAHUVEH. Fasting is suffering in the flesh, when the flesh is humbled and its desires are no longer attended to. The Holy Spirit is strengthened and sin is no longer desired.

In time past, we lived after the manner of our flesh, drinking, fornicating, lying, stealing, killing, witchcraft, the list goes on and on. Yet by the Word of GOD, YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH we are freed to live in YAHUVEH, in holiness and righteousness. Yet because of this we are rejected of the world, because of this the world mocks, and persecutes, defames believers who have passed from death unto Life. As scriptures teach, “To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life.” 2 Corinthians 2:16. The Bible encourages believers that those who speak evil of you will have bear account for their words.

Verse 6: For, for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

This verse, I believe, is saying that those who are now dead, even to them was the gospel preached. After their repentance, they lived in their earthly body, yet the Spirit that lived inside them lived unto YAHUVEH. For this cause they where no longer conformed into the image of the world, and where judged and mocked by the world.

We are to love the body of Christ, as YAHUSHUA said: “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:50. We are reminded to love one another, and forgive sins committed against us by brethren or sisters; for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Verse 8. This verse 8 also speaks of the Love of GOD, His love for us, in which he laid down His Life, forgiving multitudes, upon multitudes of sin. Praise YAHUVEH – HalleluYAH!

We are to be kind to one another, showing hospitality, harboring love, and allowing the body of Christ to bond closer together. With the gifts that Father GOD has graced us with, we are to serve and better prepare the body of YAHUSHUA ha MASHIACH. The parable of the talents, theses gifts should grow and become more profitable to the Glory of YAHUVEH Elohim. Matthew 25:14-30.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

Minister in the office you’ve been appointed, and serve with the power and grace which has been granted you, that YAHUSHUA may be glorified in all things.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:6

For the name of YAHUSHUA Jesus many are persecuted, blessed are they, for their rewards are many. They are joined as one with The Lord, and as He is glorified, so shall they be glorified. Count it a blessing to suffer for righteousness sake, for YAHUVEH is true – He will repay evil, and richly reward the Holy.

15 There is no glory when a Christian suffers “…as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.” Verse 15. Judgement begins at the house of YAHUVEH, with those who are closest to Him and then to the world. Be ye Holy, as YAHUVEH Elohim is Holy.
